Turquise Leaf Nunnery or Turquoise Leaf Nunnery

Yuloko Jetsunling Nunnery is situated at Pharping, a very sacred place of Guru Rinpoche on the hills Kathmandu valley, it was first established in 1997 and presently is a home of 55 nuns.
Since the establishment of the nunnery, Turquoise leaf nuns have always performed special ceremonies and the anniversaries of Gyalwa Longchen Ramjam and the renown female master Shugseb Jetsun Rinpoche, their daily practice also include Longchen Nyingthink Chod and engage in the making of torma, they mostly follow the Namchak tradion, their yearly pujas also include Yumka Dechen Gyalmo, Khorde zonon and also perform the practice of Singhamuka ( lion faced Dakini ) which helps in counteract negatives of the each passing year,
Each year with constant influx of new comers from Tibet at the nunnery, the rooms at the nunnery were full, all the single rooms were shared by two and all the double rooms were shared by three or more, with increase in the number of nuns at the nunnery and also with increase in the number of study subjects each year, the need for study library is a must for them.
with increase in the price of everything due to prevailing disturbances in the country, although admistrative faced huge problems in expences for food and other activities each year and but for need for study library and nunnery office building, admistrative constantly seeking help from kind donors.
Tulku Sang-ngag Rinpoche despite his hectic schedule of dharma teachings at various Ewam dharma centers in USA, Taiwan, Hong-kong, and Bhutan, he visited the nunnery each year and stayed in Nepal for three months and celebrate “Loser” (Tibetan new year ) and all nuns were fortunate enough to receive sacred teachings and empowerments from the Rinpoche each year, in the absence of Rinpoche Khenpo Ngawang Gelek a younger brother of Rinpoche have been sole guidance for the nuns and have been giving teachings and handling of ritual objects to the nuns for all these years.
